A 500 million $,12 year venture of James Cameron has finally hit the screens. Avatar is a complete creation of James Cameron . He's the god in creation of Pandora and he has created it from the scratch. Be it the floating mountains, wierd animals, Birds, Plants he manages to take your breath away and you wish you were there.
When James Cameron thought of Avatar these technologies didn't exist. He has gone through hard ships to develop these techniques in collaboration with the top people in business.
The story takes place in 2154,when a Multi National Company has established a mining colony in Pandora, A planet few light years from earth. The humans occupy oxygenated facilities where the Machines, Robots and Choppers are stored and where the avatar program takes place.
Pandora is a dangerous Environment occupied by Na'vis(The Native people) ,weird animals and plants. Na'vis are peace loving people. Their only weapon is Bow and arrow tipped with neurotoxins capable of killing humans in seconds as said by Col Miles Quaritch ,The Commander in chief.
To know about the vulnerabilities of Na'vis, they Create Avatars to intrude the Na'vi colony. The Avatars are the product of Human and Na'vi Dna Combinations. However their mind is remotely controlled by Humans lying inside a coffin like box.
Jake Sully,a crippled Marine is used for the avatar program.Jake replaces his twin brother in the team.Jake is supposed to intrude the Na'vis and report their strength and weakness to the Colonel.
When Jake first Wakes up from his transformation he runs wild feeling the realism of his legs.Jake and his counter parts are dropped in Pandora and the doc marvels studyin the trees.The trees have electro chemical communication between them through the roots. Jake encounters a weird animal and runs to survive .Later at Night when he was in ordeal with the animals, He gets saved by the Chief's daughter. She refuses to take him along but signs showed by the Na'vi environment make her to. Her mom tests Jake and she orders her daughter to teach him the Na'vi ways.
Jake learns their ways from her and in the process he starts to fall in love with Pandora as well as her. That’s where the real trouble starts for him. Along with Jake, James Cameron makes us astounded by the Surrealistic beauty of Pandora and fall in love with it by the mind blowing 3D visual effects.
One fine day Jake falls in Love with the chiefs daughter ,next day when they wake up a Huge destructive machine and Army men penetrate the Pandora to destroy it. Jake comes into the body of Avatar a bit late and destroys the Camera of the Machine. The col identifies him and draws him out of the box and asks to stop the whole avatar thing.
Jake gets frustrated sayin that"When people sit over the shit you want,you call them your enemies".A realistic dialogue which suits the developed nations. Dr Grace argues and fights for the Na'vis that its a natural wealth that should be preserved and not destroyed. Parker selfridge ridicules her saying Their mineral wealth is worth 20 million $ per gram and they 're wasting it and calls her theory a better one than granny stories.
Jake asks for a final chance to save the Na'vis.He confesses to the Na'vi pepole and asks them to evacuate. The Chiefs daughter is devastated to know that he's a traitor they tie him up. Finally the chiefs wife releases them asking them to save if they're one of them. Jake fails to pursue them and he's thrown out of the box and arrested along with the team.
Trudy Chacon their pilot saves them and gets them to a remote place along with the box that controls the avatar. Jake goes back to the people in a bird which is considered dangerous and impossible to tame and gains their belief and he encourages the people and takes a oath to save Pandora. With his strategies ,Animals and birds of Pandora ,Jake plans to take on the Army and James Cameron takes us to a absolutely brilliant climax.
The creations by James Cameron, Cinematography by Mauro Fiore's and music by James Horner are outstanding.3D cinema in a new never before seen
dimension and to see Pandora in it is absolutely a treat to your eyes which you wont be able to see in any other moviesfor few more years.
Verdict : Don't miss it if 2012 is true ,you may not see such a outstanding visual effects in the near future and as far as the story is concerned inspite of being slow in the first half, it definitely touches your hearts.
